"Don't Breathe 2" (2021) In this sequel to the 2016 breakout hit, Norman Nordstrom (Stephen Lang) has been hiding out for several years in an isolated cabin. He lives with a young girl orphaned from a home fire and has recreated the family stolen from him by a drunk driver. Their quiet life together is shattered when a group of unseemly criminals kidnaps her and forces Norman to tap into even darker and more creative instincts in an effort to save her.

"Stillwater" (2021) A dramatic thriller follows an American oil-rig roughneck from Oklahoma (Matt Damon) who travels to Marseilles to visit his estranged daughter, in prison for a murder she claims she did not commit. Confronted with language barriers, cultural differences, and a complicated legal system, Bill Baker builds a new life for himself in France as he makes it his personal mission to exonerate his daughter.

Master filmmaker Satyajit Ray explores the conflict between fanaticism and free will in "Devi (The Goddess)" (1960 - India), issuing a subversively modern challenge to religious orthodoxy and patriarchal power structures. In the waning days of mid-19th-century India’s feudal system, after his son (Soumitra Chatterjee) leaves for Kolkata to complete his studies, a wealthy rural landowner (Chhabi Biswas) is seized by the notion that his beloved daughter-in-law (a hauntingly sad-eyed Sharmila Tagore) is the reincarnation of the goddess Kali -- a delusion that proves devastating to the young woman and those around her. "Giallo Collection": Alongside the spaghetti western, the giallo is one of the most famous Italian export genres: films steeped in mystery and intrigue, delivered with stylized violence and unforgettable musical themes. "The Possessed" (1965) masterfully combines noir, mystery and giallo tropes in a proto-giallo based on one of Italy's most notorious crimes. It tells the story of a depressed novelist (Peter Baldwin) in search of his old flame (Virna Lisi) who has disappeared under suspicious circumstances, prompting an investigation that finds him plunged into a disturbing drama of familial secrets, perversion, madness and murder. "The Fifth Cord" (1971) boasts a complex, Agatha Christie-esque plot of investigation into a series of brutal assaults. As the body count rises, whisky swilling journalist Andrea Bild (Franco Nero) finds himself under suspicion, making it all the more imperative he crack the case. "The Pyjama Girl Case" (1978), inspired by a real-life case that baffles to this day, takes us to Australia where former inspector Timpson comes out of retirement to crack the case of a young woman, found on the beach, shot in the head, burned to hide her identity and dressed in distinctive yellow pajamas. In the first of a multi-volume series of Giallo Essentials, these films feature a raft of talent in front and behind the camera with each film restored from the original camera negative and presented with a range of contextualizing interviews and featurettes. It is brought to Sao Paulo to be exhibited at a museum, but before reaching its destination, the Mask starts to claim its victims as it possesses and forces them to carry out visceral sacrifices in gruesome fashion. In "El pastor (The Shepherd)" (2017 - Spain), starring Maribel Iglesias, Miguel Martín and Alfonso Mendiguchía, Anselmo, a middle age shepherd, lives a poor but happy life in a small run down house in a middle of the Spain plains, near a small, but growing village. His dog Pillo and his sheep are his only company. It's a life bucolic enough for him to ignore the offers he receives from a construction company who wants to buy his house and land to build a new residential complex. Conflicting against Anselmo's unwillingness to sell is the greed of the owners of the neighboring lands, who only answer to their own interests.
