Unusual action comedy starring the always reliable Fred Ward as a cop trained by a kooky martial artist (Grey) to fight a sinister cabal. The friendship formed between them is genuinely touching and Joel Grey makes a good foil for Ward. Future Star Trek actress Kate Mulgrew is a weak link that is only there to be a damsel in distress. The spectacular fight scene atop and all over the Statue of Liberty is a must-see.
