The animation is gorgeous if still hideous to look at. But this stop-motion mixture of horror and war has very little else to offer viewers.

While I found its lack of a definitive narrative and meaning a tad frustrating, "Mad God" merits viewing based on its disturbed vision and stomach-churning visuals alone.
