Although more creative and inspired than Disney's most recent live-action reboots, "Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers" is a mixed bag of inconsistent quality.

This is essentially "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" for a digital generation. It even references the classic live action/animated classic several times. But it's also a treat for fans of the original Rescue Rangers as well as people who really like a lot of blink-and-you'll-miss it Easter Eggs. Still, seeing a Coca-Cola polar bear as an bad guy enforcer and Seth Rogan voicing a dead-eyed CGI warrior straight out of 2007's Beowulf (who hands out in the Uncanny Valley, of course) is a lot of fun. Plus, J.K. Simmons voices a putty police chief, you get to see the return of Ugly Sonic and a film version of Batman vs. E.T. - I mean, what more could you want?

"Yeah, death is coming for us all kid." - Peter Pan. Every single frame of this movie is easter eggs, and while that would be fun for some, it only left me asking what the point was. Unfortunately, my experience with the movie was empty.
