One of Allen's best films in years, but I still can't give it a passing grade. While "Rifkin's Festival" reminded me a little of his best and most classic works, it feels more like a continuation of his modern slump.

The final scene is oddly good, though that's 50% Christoph Waltz and 40% being a recreation of the magnificent Seventh Seal. The rest is bad on a metaphysical level, save the occasional nice shot.
