Films like this amazes me. It's 98% build-up, 1% climax, and 1% decay, but everything actually makes sense. Who said you can't dance alone? "Gloria Bell" is one of rare feminist romantic films.

It would have been nice to see a movie that says more than just "Girl, you don't need no man holding you down," but I'll take "Gloria Bell" for its funny lines and terrific performances by Julianne Moore and John Turturro.
