"A Wrinkle in Time" has some good messages and a few visually impressive scenes, but those things mean very little when the plot is as confusing and nonsensically random as the one here.

It wasn't as good as the hype and it was advertised. I did appreciate the inclusion of mixed race and biracial families being biracial myself, I do like when these people are added. The mythical land seemed like it did have potential to be amazing, and there were some interesting moments of fantasy and mystic. I do feel some characters were not developed too well, some being annoying characters. The plot had potential but wasn't as the hype promised.

Ava DuVernay's wildly imaginative if narratively uneven fantasy about 3 children exploring space and time in search of Chris Pine but need the power of Oprah, Witherspoon, and Alan from The Hangover. The cgi and visuals look weird and creative. The story though is rushed and sometimes nonsensical. Admittedly, I never read the book but that shouldn't be necessary when adapting a work of fiction for film. The child actors aren't bad, particularly Storm Reid who plays the lead character Meg. Chris Pine and the other A-Listers commit themselves to the plot, to their credit.
