You get what you came for, a road movie of a child and a parent figure bonding, but there's very little of the laughter and sweetness other stories like this have.

Makes the most of a road-trip film by the odd, yet good, pairing of Ed O'Neill and Ethan Embry. Otherwise pretty standard fare where mistakes are made, lessons are learned and everything turns out right in the end.
