Touching story of a prominent Protestant couple who stir a ruckus when they adopt a Catholic child. It's the 1800s, they cared about stuff like that. Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon are quite good in what became their last of eight films together. The child actress was not bad either;she didn't overplay the part.
