Marion Davies only shines in this film, because it pretty much makes fun of her acting talent! In this film, it takes who you know to make it big in Hollywood. It's tempting to see it for the cameos alone: Charles Chaplin, Rod La Rocque, and John Gilbert, among many others, A sufficient comedy, you'll most likely get some laughs out of it. I saw it at the theater, but it will be playing on TCM on August 3, 2009.

A little creaky, but passable satire on the film industry. Final Grade: C+
