Of Mice and Men review

A film focuses primarily on a street smart George Milton (Burgess Meredith) and his mentally challenged partner Lennie Small (Lon Chaney, Jr.). The acting was believable and score just empathetic. Nominated for Best Picture, Best Sound Recording (Elmer A. Raguse), Best Musical Score, Best Original Score, the production obviously well crafted. Screenplay was intelligent with lines: "Sure, but I worked weeks all my life. I don't remember none of them weeks, but this - nearly twenty years ago, I remember that." "Whatever we ain't got, that's what you want!" and "It's lonesome for a guy to be without a dog." Topics on friendship, hard-work, companionship, dreams unfulfilled and hardships in life. Of Mice and Men shows realistically back in the day how it is to survive during the depression.
