"It's mine mine mine." Was fortunate to view the restored version with still photos. The story involves McTeague who works at the Big Dipper Gold Mine, wife Trina and Marcus. The beginning introduces Mother and Father McTeague. Dr. "Painless" Potter visits the town and is asked by Mother Teague to employ his son. A subplot included Charles W. Grannis and Miss Anastasia Baker together with Zerkow and Maria Miranda Macapa about being boarders and the gold respectively. Trina wins $5000 from the lottery ticket she bought and invests in her uncle's business. The words had some typographical/grammatical errors and the plot at times distract the story of the various characters. Acting was not that convincing as well. The themes and cinematography were spot on. It is however a chore to watch. Greed is a poignant and powerful film that entails your full time and attention. Not totally enjoyable, it is worth seeing since it is one of the pioneering films for its premise and genre.
