The Details review

A story about different flawed individuals with various consequences. Jeff (Tobey Maguire) is having issues on his garden since there were holes created by critters from their area. Nealy (Elizabeth Banks) seems to be unhappy with her husband's behavior. Peter Mazzoni (Ray Liotta) is a friend of Jeff that offers sound advice after conflicts erupt.

One of the best dark comedies on infidelities, making favors, dishonesty, opening-up to a friend and honesty. The screenplay was impressive with lines: "And life just went on..." by Jeff "It will workout, things always do." Lila "I make mistakes. But I make amends" - Peter. The pace in certain scenes felt prolonged such as the sex sequences and some characters a bit overwhelming. Soundtrack was apt and direction precise in certain tense situations. The message was not too preachy as well. Nonetheless, The Details is one underrated film in which accolades could have been given to Laura Linney or a Tobey Maguire for there electrifying performances.
