Bulliitt review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 12/16/12

One of the few classics that caught the curiosity of this critics attention. An innovative car chase and name stars doesn't make a classic film in this critics point of view. Politician Walter Chalmers (Robert Vaughn) is on the verge to get back at mobster Pete Ross (Vic Tayback) with thru key witness Johnny Ross (Pat Renella). Lieutenant Frank Bullitt (Steve McQueen) tries to guard the witness when things go wrong. Sluggish pace, plot was simple and yet prolonged and action slow. Bullitt likewise suffers from some uninteresting acting and dull pacing. If only there were more interesting characters and a better screenplay. The cars seems to be the highlight, much like The Fast and the Furious series. Bullitt had groundbreaking moments but lives short in the entertainment and cinematic as aspect.
