The Possession review

The story will keep you glued since it was based in real life. More of a creepy movie than a scary or gory picture. The idea of having the experiences of Em was definitely frightful. It involves Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick), and their kids Em (Natasha Calis) and Hannah (Madison Davenport). After Em purchases a mysterious box things go strangely. Clyde asks the help from a Jew named Tzadok (Matisyahu). Screenplay waas decent, if only the Jew could act better, some of the words uttered felt muffled. Acting especially from Natasha Calis were convincing. Best scenes were near the conclusion at the hospital. It was baffling though how nobody heard the exorcism. Soundtrack was suspenseful though has similarities to Psycho. Direction could have been better since the picture was dark (literally) all-throughout, unless it was intended. The Possession portrayed a loving father, divorced life, faith and spirits from an unusual location.
