The Expendables 2 review

The Expendables are back, namely Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), Toll Road (Randy Couture), Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Yin Yang (Jet Li) and new recruit Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth). They rescue a wealthy businessman together with Trench (Arnold Schwarzenegger). Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) gives a mission to Barney with the aid of Maggie (Yu Nan). The gang tries to avenge a death of a friend and access the plutonium. The film still lacks a descent screenplay to make it more worth while, lacks proper character development and some baffling scenes (how Trench and Booker (Chuck Norris) was able to locate the place in the near conclusion). At least the plot was deeper than the first, it lacks roles for Toll Road (which I think, the line-up could have been more effective with a smaller unit), better action and humor than its counterpart. The Expendables 2 is action-packed from the very beginning but begins to bore towards the conclusion because of its coyness to bring back some name actors.
