Another beautiful creation by Wes Anderson. This time, a stop-motion not only about a kid's adventure of looking for his pet dog but somehow went the extra mile of covering some political and social discussions. I am in love how Anderson pay so much attention to details that even there are parts that Japanese language weren't translated, I was not lost of what was happening. The story line of Atari Kobayashi reminded of The Little Prince that instead of fox (which Anderson had an animated movie already), it explored the natural connection of humans and dogs. I bet not only Anderson fans would appreciate this film, but those who have eternal love for dogs. Also, I felt like the choice of Japanese culture to be integrated in the story was perfect because of the plot devices of dog robots and this world of historical conflict with uhmmm... dogs. Generally an enjoyable film with so much wits and extraordinary craftsmanship.
