Life of Pi

Should see it again, with no sleep in the end. ;)

A shipwreck leads Pi Patel to a wonderful journey over the sea water with a zebra, orangutan, hyena and Bengal tiger in a lifeboat. With them, he discovers and realizes the courage within him.

Just a disclaimer: I failed to see the entire movie as by the time I sat down in a movie theater to see this film, I was really tired from school and so I fell asleep I think 10 minutes before it ended.

ANYWAY, I would not say that this movie is a crap or whatever. It just that this film directed by Ang Lee did not pull a string from my heart that I did not really got into it. The story, the message of the material is good definitely, but from the opening scenes, I really thought that this one was really made for kids, that I felt like "Hey! I'm not the target audience."

Single thing that I liked the most was that visually, it was really amazing, praise goes to Ang Lee who was able to work on this material with only (or most of the time) one man and a tiger on the screen.

I think it deserved a second look!
