The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift

(Run time: 104 min. - Directed by: Justin Lin - Starring: Lucas Black, Nathalie Kelley, Brian Tee, Bow Wow)

The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift is a hot "spin-off" of the Fast and Furious franchise that is off the chain! I mean the storyline works so well and the characters are so cool that this movie is already consider a cult classic. Literally introducing the world to the art of drifting in a way that has spawned millions of new fans to the sport!

After another street race ends badly for Sean Boswell, played by Lucas Black, in America he's sent by his mom to go live with his dad in Japan. Now, on the other side of the world, Sean meets Wink. played by Bow Wow, and falls for one of the hottest chicks in school named Neela, played by Nathalie Kelley. Then when Sean sees Neela at an underground race Wink brings him to he ends up clashing with the local street racers and their leader DK, a.k.a. the Drift King, played by Brian Tee. Sean and DK both having a thing for the same girl stems a bitter feud that ends in a challenge to race. Sean being such a bad ass gets the attention of one of DK's buddies named Han who lets Sean use his expensive car. Unfortunately Sean is only use to regular muscle racing and has no idea how to drift causing him to destroy Hans car and completely humiliate himself in front of everybody. Han decides to bring Sean in on his operation to give him a chance to pay him back for the car and to teach him to drift so Sean can get back at DK.

This movie is tight and the driving is insane! The skills these drivers display even while plowing through hundreds of downtown Tokyo pedestrians is crazy! I loved this one scene in particular when Han shows Sean why he drifts. I don't know anyone who doesn't wish they could be as smooth as Han in that scene.

The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift is my favorite movie in the franchise hands down. I rushed out and bought it the night it came out on DVD, no lie! If you want to see an adrenaline filled action movie that leaves you wanting to see it again you got to check out The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift! Today!
