An interesting premise but just a middling execution leaves Man Finds Tape firmly in the middle-of-the-road of the vast found-footage genre. After going viral online after finding a tape with his name on it, Lucas Page puts the town of Larkin, Texas on the infamy map. His sister, Lynn, long after moving away, is also unwittingly drawn in. In the middle of it all is local preacher Reverend Endicott Carr - but the creepy mystery goes far deeper than they could fathom. I have to say, I liked the way things started, but when it starts to veer into H.P. Lovecraft territory, it gets a bit silly. Anywho, I've seen worse but not as thrilling as I wanted it to be.
