I'm pretty sure I read that the main reason this movie was made was in order for the studio to keep the rights to Hellboy - but even so, this low-effort production has all the appeal of a Sci-Fi Original movie. It gets points for being brief and for Joseph Marcell playing that blind priest with gusto. As for the rest - utterly forgettable and truly painful to watch, especially considering where it started from.
