Another semi-successful attempt at a Netflix original film. The film has a decent cast (led by Maika Monroe as the victim and Ed Skrein as the distant captor) bu the story feels a bit lazy and the ultimate conclusion is quite unfulfilling. Netflix also seems to have some fascination with portraying a darker future (see also Black Mirror, Mute, Cargo, the updated Lost in Space, How It Ends...) not exclusively, but so many of them. They'll get there eventually, and while Tau isn't exceptional, it has its moments.
