Other than The Far Side, I can't think of another comic strip that was as memorable or interesting as Calvin and Hobbes. Bill Watterson has essentially become the J.D. Salinger of the comic world - very reclusive and rarely seen/heard from. But just like Salinger, Watterson created something that reached out to millions of people, influenced a generation and is still much loved today. This documentary reminded me of just how truly unique the strip was and why it may never find a match again.
