This earlier version of The Maltese Falcon (NOT the one starring Bogart) is included on the special edition. I have to say, the story is pretty much the same (other than the coda, which was unnecessary). It's not as polished, but is still a fine story with decent acting. The lack of background music made for much uncomfortable silence, however.
