The Terminator

Ready for a sequel

This movie is the first of its kind, quite literally. Never before have we seen a movie where two entities are sent back in time with conflicting missions, one to protect a woman who's son (who is not yet even thought of) will be the leader of the future resistance against Skynet's machines. The other, who has more of a "cut and dry" type of assignment... To kill every woman he can find with the name of Sara Connor. The movie is pretty much a cat and mouse, catch me if you can type of plot, which is well done, but it seems too basic, or maybe only skin deep. You don't really even realize that until you watch the sequel (which I am sure most of you have) that there can be so much more depth to the plot and overall story line. Maybe because the T800 is the antagonist in the first one and switches to the protagonist in the sequel. The terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) seems so unstoppable in either movie, maybe my feelings toward the movie have something to do with the Terminator (being so unstoppable as he is) being on the good side. The movie was good, but not as good as it gets.
