Hey there drudgees! Have you been good or are you awaiting an unbridled new vision for the stalker flick? Well then bat-smoochies, here ya' go!
Alien is a stalker film in a Halloween costume much like Star Wars is a fantasy sword flick with laser substitutes. And ooooooh is that dinner sequence epic! Sigourney delivers in a big way and if you're a proper gent you'll let a few dated special effects slip (they let them slip in Gladiator and Terminator so why not here me protests?!?). Lastly, it's rare that a horror piece can tackle sensitive subjects like rape and unwanted pregnancies without getting silly and preachy, neither of which Alien ever does.
