You're telling me John Ford didn't make this!? Starring John Wayne at his meanest and featuring some of the grandest set-pieces in the western genre (the stampede sequence in particular is just magnificent), "Red River" is a certified masterpiece with stark parallels to "Mutiny on the Bounty" that provides intriguing analysis into obsession, leadership, and human nature.
