All in all, this fails as a movie. Samantha Morton's performance is worthwhile as is a scene that presents three different options of what could have happened, according to myth.
However, while Djano Reinhardt is a real person, Emmett Martin IS NOT. I just found that out recently and was disappointed. The movie makes him out to be a real person.
