Not Quite the Rippling Effect I Had In Mind

I'll first start off by saying that the best part of the movie was the performance. I think everyone played their character full-out. They did what they could without really being able to tap into the root of the character, because the root didn't exist. It seemed like there was supposed to be some deeper storyline behind the 3 main characters as well as Claremont's crew (which I didn't entirely understand), but it got lost somewhere between a sick baby and Afghanistan (those who have seen this know what I am talking about).
By the way, I loved how Ian Ziering and Brian Austin Green were the "celebrity hostages." I mean I guess they could be. I guess everyone knows who they are technicially. But seriously? Don't get me wrong. I love them. I loved 90210.But they were chosen as celebrity hostages? Wow. Okay. I don't ask questions. I just watch movies.
As far as the plot goes, there were some slight holes, but nothing too damaging. The plot was a little annoying. What's with sticking a baby at the base of a plot nowadaway? (i.e. Shoot 'Em Up). It all seemed so dramatic. Aaaall of that happened just to so a baby could get surgery? It just seemed like too much. I mean John Q fine. A father snapped. That made sense. But this...bounty killers, casino owners, mafia bosses...all so little Kiki could get her operation. I think they could have taken that out and stuck something else in there. Sure adjustments would have been needed; but maybe it would have made for a better story.
With that being said, this wasn't a bad movie. It didn't absolutely suck. I loved watching Keira Knightly kick ass. I though Choco with the whole Spanish thing was cute (even tho Domino didn't think so apparently). There were some intense moments, but it wasn't amazing. Watchable, but not amazing.
