Elizabeth Taylor is decent as the beleaguered housewife who thinks she witnessed a murder-and you know this kind of movie. The acting across the board is not bad. Except you kind of know how all the story beats are going go. Without spoiling anything it is remarkably similar to Gaslight (1944) but apparently it was written by the same mind behind Sorry, Wrong Number (1948).
