Flight Risk fails as an homage to 1990s action films. Instead, it is an unintentional love letter to straight-to-DVD-era action flicks.

Mark Wahlberg gets top billing despite spending most of the movie in the background, tied up or unconscious. And sometimes, he gets free and starts a scuffle, only to get knocked out and tied up again.

The film did not have suspense, thrills, or enjoyment. The writing is atrocious, as some dialogue made me cringe multiple times. I knew I was in for a terrible time when I saw that AI-looking motel in the opening shot.

I expected a nutty performance from Wahlberg, but I didn't get that.

Mark Wahlberg's death scene is the only note-worthy aspect because of how bizarrely filmed it was. It was something out of Looney Tunes. Whenever I bring up this movie, that death scene is getting mentioned.
