Captain America: Brave New World

The only positive thing I got from watching this movie is the reminder of how good the song Elephant by Tame Impala is.

Captain America: Brave New World is the first Marvel movie I fell asleep watching, which isn't very good. It's not a bad film, just painfully average, but an average movie is boring.

This feels more like the second season of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier rather than a movie. Funny enough, the first season felt more cinematic than this.

Anthony Mackie, bless his heart, but the writing does no favors for him here. I hope that, over time, he will become the leader of a team like the Avengers.

Harrison Ford, surprisingly, doesn't phone it in and delivers a solid performance.

After so many reshoots and rewrites, I wonder how bad the original cut was if this is the best they got. If the next Marvel entries are anything like this, it's the endgame for the MCU.

Also, will Marvel let a scene be serious without ruining it with unfunny humour?
