This movie is about a 26 year old college student, Finn (Winona Ryder), who is engaged to get married. But she still wonders: did God make for us to spend the whole of our lives with only one person? Then its summer, and she goes and stays at her grandmothers for the summer, as she has since she was young. Her grandmother is apart of a a group called the Quilting Bee, meaning a group of her friends meet at her house every so often, and they quilt. So that summer, they begin working on a marriage quilt for Finn. Each woman includes their own little picture on it, symbolizing their young loves. Each of the woman's stories help Finn decide whether Sam (her fiancee) is truly 'the one'.

This is the best movie I have watched for a longgg time. Just the fact that their are all these old woman have a different story, about their first loves, and they all get together to make a quilt, each adding a symbol for their love, which brings back memories, some they may want to forget, some that they wish they could go back and experience all over again. And how different Finn and all these woman are, but how much they have in common because of their loves. It really lets you into the lives of these characters. This is another movie whihc I cried over, even thoguh its not really sad at all... though I found it sad. I dunno, I don't really know how to explain how good it is, but just watch it. It really touched me.
