A fun watch!

The movie stars David Spade as Dickie Roberts, a former child star who was famous for saying this is "Nuking Futs!" Dickie is now in his 30's looking to recapture his fame by getting a role in a new Rob Reiner film being cast but since he essentially missed out on his childhood, his agent Sidney (Jon Lovitz) thinks he might not get the part. In order to research the role, he hires a suburban family to be his surrogate family for a month in hopes of gathering insight into the experiences of a traditional family.
But although the family he moves into looks idyllic and perfect at first, parents Grace (Mary McCormack) and George (Craig Bierko) are having troubles in their marriage, while the kids Sam (Scott Terra) and Sally (Jenna Boyd) are having troubles at school. This leads to some hilarious moments when Dickie helps the kids gain some self-confidence, upstages some bullies, and helps mom feel appreciated. This is especially important since shallow dad is about to run off with Dickie's outrageously beautiful girlfriend Cyndi (Alissa Milano).
The film ends with a bang, with a hilarious musical number featuring cameo appearances of all the has-been TV stars of the past, including Skreech (Saved by the Bell), Corey Feldman, Corey Haim, Gary Coleman, Danny Partridge, Greg Brady and Arnold Horshack. Kinda silly but I enjoyed it!
