All About Steve

Disastrous!
MovieAddict - wrote on 04/27/12

The story begins with a talkative and eccentric woman Mary Magdalene Horowitz, (Sandra Bullock) who lives with her parents and spends her days constructing crossword puzzles for the local newspaper. Fearing that their daughter is turning into a dried up old spinster, Mary's concerned parents set her up on a blind date with the titular Steve, a handsome cable news cameraman whose devilish smile sets her hormones racing. After an aggressive physical romp in his SUV where she practically rapes him, he flees the scene with an empty promise of wishing she could come with him. Mary takes this as an engraved invitation and decides to follow him across the country. All About Steve is supposed to be a comedy but I find nothing funny in Sandra Bullock playing an insane, cameraman-obsessed stalker. Ken Jeong of Hangover has a very small cameo.
