An exciting and well made movie focusing on George Washington’s early days, mainly his involvement in the French & Indian War. The battle scenes are intense and well shot, and William Franklin-Miller does an excellent job in the title role, conveying Washington’s inner strength during a time of battlefield failures and set-backs. The supporting cast is excellent- look for Ben Kingsley, Kelsey Grammer, Mary Louise-Parker and Andy Serkis. The movie perfectly sets up a sequel about the revolution itself. Washington has finally gotten a real movie about his life, rather than just another slow paced history channel documentary.
