“Roadkill” is a classical low budget horror movie. The acting is generally bad, the only, somehow, good acting comes from Eliza Bennett (this actress also took part in Inkheart). There's no emotion in the “supposed” horrified expressions of the characters, which is very bad, because I've seen a lot of “actors wanna be's” performing a lot better.

The storyline is actually the best part about the movie (and there's not a lot of good ones), not because of the characters development, not because of the plot development, but because it somehow, misteriously kept me interested and I was able to watch it with interest until the end.

The cast was not bad at all, acting abilities apart. The actors performing the “good guys” were all very good looking and the actors performing the “bad guys” were all very bad looking, perhaps a bit too convinient but, the worst part about the cast was definitely the acting but I guess it was to be expected by a low budget.

The special effects paired up with the rest of the movie and were naturally equally bad. "The Rock" effect was too unreal and not believable. The wounds were actually very good, they're not exactly CG Effects, but they were far more believable than all others.

In my overall opinion, “Roadkill” is not a piece of art but it's definitely worth watching, if there's nothing better to do or you've got a "thing" for Ireland. Not bad for a $1,600,000 budget movie!
