"When Charlie Bartlett listens everyone talks."

This is a Non-Classical High-School movie, which means that there are actually some intelligent characters in this motion picture. Whenever I with a school/College as a theme or stage, I immediately think it's more "Cinema Fast-Food", in others words, more brainless characters sticking to the storyline and a very weak development of the characters. This is not it!

"Charlie Bartlett" is a comedy well backed up by a powerful drama about a kid who just wants to make some friends and get popular but he ends up selling the students the pills he would get from several psychiatrists by describing their problems as his own. He will then change the relationship between his girlfriend with her dad as well as the way of thinking of most of the school, including himself.

"people like *you* ARE THE REASON people like *me* NEED MEDICATION"

With a cast of very young actors, the unknown director Jon Poll was able to do a fine movie; Robert Downey Jr. and Anton Yelchin working together were amazing, have an amazing performance!

It's obviously worth checking this movie at least for what is to me one of the best performances of Robert Downey Jr.
