Plot: Ever since a Halloween prank gone wrong, a trio of friends have used the made-up friend "Ricky Stanicky" to get them out of all sorts of situations - and obligations - well into adulthood. But finally things come crashing down when "Ricky" is suddenly available to meet family and friends - and a chance meeting with an Atlantic City "actor" provides the perfect cover, until "Ricky" becomes a bigger part of their lives than any of them could have anticipated.

It feels more like a by-the-books comedy than other R-rated hits ala The Hangover or The 40-Year-Old Virgin but if you want to be suitably entertained, it will do the trick and at least its heart is in the right place - as is its more gross - and detailed - jokes. And William H. Macy is totally killer in his supporting role.

The jokes are strained and scenes go on and on for entirely too long. It's an okay way to waste two hours, but believe me when I say your time is more valuable than that.
