Plot: Zak, a young man with Down Syndrome, escapes from his nursing care facility in order to pursue his dream of becoming a wrestler. While attempting to reach the wrestling school of The Salt Water Redneck, Zak meets up with Tyler, a small-time outlaw, who becomes his coach and ally, along with Eleanor, a friendly nursing home employee with her own story. A feel-good adventure comedy without the sickening manipulations movies like it almost always have. "The Peanut Butter Falcon" handles disability in a respectful way as it offers some much needed on-screen representation for a heavily underrepresented group.
