As a grimy thrill ride, "The Rookie" isn't half bad. But as a cop thriller, it feels disappointingly flat, especially coming from the man who brought the character of Dirty Harry to life.

I started off liking this movie but towards the middle & after the kidnapping, something about it fell off for me & The Rookie became just another cop buddy action flick & I lost interest.I wanted to like this flick because Clint Eastwood was directing but I just couldn't.It wasn't a terrible movie but it wasn't great either & I think the only reason I even finished it was because I was so far into it anyways
