Take a typical college party-type movie, throw in a weird sci-fi twist and you get a rather novel take that, while not perfect, at least attempts something different. Who knows, maybe your soul mate is yourself! Or maybe it's just a doppelganger you need to show whose boss. Or maybe one version of you is more than enough.
