I wanted to like this more and although Ritu Arya and Priya Kansara are stand-outs in their roles, the film itself bounces around from slap-stick comedy action to more serious family drama to over-the-top Disney-level evil - enough to give one wihiplash. If the film could have settled on a tone, I think it would have worked out much better but as it stands, it's much too random to make it more than a quaint curiosity.

I really wanted to like this one, because it looked and sounded like such a fun idea. But "Polite Society" is like if Disney Channel tried to produce its own "Cornetto Trilogy".
