An apocalyptic thriller where a family has to make an impossible choice in order to prevent the end of the world - at least according to four random strangers who suddenly show up at their cabin in the woods. But tsunamis, a deadly virus and planes just up and falling out of the sky seem to support their claim. The film is pretty rote but gets a lift from some great performances, especially Dave Bautista - but also Jonathan Groff and Ben Aldridge as well. Worth a watch at least.

Devoid of tension and atmosphere, "Knock at the Cabin" is just a bunch of loose ends tied together with vaguely biblical undertones and allusions that aren't as deep or interesting as this movie thinks they are.
