A fitting end to the series even if the film can't match the originals for sheer enjoyment. Mads Mikkelsen once again plays the villain well, Harrison Ford is still as solid as ever and while a lot of people seem to think the films revolves too much around Phoebe Waller-Bridge, she seems like a good fit to me. The end comes out of left field and the pacing is uneven at times - and Antonio Banderas isn't given nearly enough screen time - but, overall, not a bad way to go out.

While the legacy of "Raiders" is unmatchable, the heart of that film beats in this one. This is an old-school adventure film brought into the 2020s, and a rightful ending for an immortal character.

This is an absolutely fantastic last Indiana Jones movie on every level. The action is non-stop, the character moments are nostalgic and touching, and the story is excellent, especially the balls to the wall climax that could be the best ending of any Indiana Jones movie ever. Tech credits are top notch across the board from the special effects to the terrific new score from John Williams, and all of the acting is superb, especially the great Harrison Ford who gives it his all one last time. Easily the best movie of the year.
