Jimmy Connors was kind of a polarizing figure in tennis, but his run at the 1991 U.S. Open when he was 39 (ancient in terms of the age of most tennis players) was one for the ages. He might not have won, but his presence was felt and, for a few matches, he captured the old magic, ignited the crowd and made national news. He doesn't come across as a very amiable fellow - he never had many friends on the tennis circuit it seems, and the documentary doesn't try to paint him as a saint. It's a good look back and reminds us never to discount anyone, even if the chips look down.
