Discreet Charm Lite

Although I have enjoyed this movie, it doesn't hold up as well as some of Bunuel's other absurdist movies. It seems like "Discreet Charm Lite." I recently got the Criterion version of it and found myself cringing at a few of the segments that I had thought so brilliant before.
I never give up on Bunuel, and I find wonderful things in most of his movies, this one most definitely included. It just doesn't provide a nice, seamless viewing experience for me any more.
Maybe it's me...
