Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Unpleasant in a Good Way...
woody - wrote on 01/31/11

Four unpleasant and unappealing characters find themselves trapped in an ever-increasingly awkward situation. The two main characters are hosts who yell at and belittle each other, laugh in derision at their gawky guests and disclose unwanted embarrassing information to them. That's entertainment!

The hosts are couple Liz and Dick at their best; the words are provided by Edward Albee and the direction is courtesy Mike Nichols. They make the madness mesmerizing.
