This is another one of those horror "classics" that fails to deliver the scares. The only thing this film had going for it was Jack Nicholson in his younger days. But that faded away as well because the script is so nondescript. Other than noticing how much Jack Nicholson has aged after forty years, this is an empty vessel. A lot of scenes are laughable, which were entertaining at first, but it quickly got boring and confusing. Although this movie is in color, it was very scratchy, the camera moved a lot, and there were a plethora of random and awkward shots. I don't think I'll be watching this ever again because it gave me a headache. But if you really want to see how much Jack Nicholson's acting had progressed over the years, go ahead. You will come to realize that he has come a very, very long way.
