It's a comedy and a critique about high school teachers and administrators which works oh-so-brilliantly. I thought the mockumentary style is an outstanding move on the filmmakers' part because it attained that aunthentic feel. I really felt like I was there in the classroom or walking in those limiting hallways, being one of the hormonal students once again. I felt so bad for the history teacher in his first year because he can't control his students. I can relate because I had an art teacher like that and students made her every day a living hell. It made me look back and feel really bad for teachers, regardless of their flaws like in this film, because what they all have in common is that they care about the students. Although the pay is bad, headaches and extra hours are constant, they don't give up. That's admirable and worth noticing. I'm actually going to recommend this to a friend that wants to be a teacher. I want her to see what she's in for. This film is that realistic.
